Description

Some pickles spice up your plate. Ginger Pickle? It warms your soul. At Ammamma’s Pickles, we prepare this classic Andhra-style Allam Pachadi (Ginger Pickle) with the same old technique our grandmothers followed because some traditions are too delicious to modernize.

We begin with fresh, ginger roots sourced locally from trusted farms. After thorough cleaning, we finely chop and ginger to bring out its earthy flavor. Then comes the balance tamarind pulp for tang, jaggery for mild sweetness, red chilli powder for heat, and a dash of roasted fenugreek and cumin to round it all off. The entire mix is slow-cooked in cold-pressed groundnut oil, giving it a thick, rich texture that lingers with every spoonful.

We don’t use synthetic vinegar or chemical preservatives. Every jar is prepared only after your order is placed, ensuring that what reaches you is fresh, potent, and full of flavor.

What makes this Ginger Pickle special is its deep medicinal value—known for aiding digestion, warming the body, and being a perfect companion during monsoons and winters. Serve it with hot rice and ghee, dosa, upma, pongal, or even as a side for rotis—it adds that sharp, comforting zing to any meal.

Made under hygienic conditions in Rajahmundry, this pickle is not just about taste—it’s about continuing a memory. That familiar smell from Ammamma’s kitchen, when she’d crush ginger on a stone slab and slowly let the masalas simmer—this jar brings it all back.
